Overview
The Mechanical Project Engineer will play a critical role in delivering mechanical engineering solutions for capital projects ranging from small-scale upgrades to large, complex installations within an industrial plant setting. This position involves full lifecycle project involvement—from initial concept and feasibility studies through design, procurement, installation, and commissioning. The engineer will ensure that mechanical systems meet performance, safety, and ergonomic standards while aligning with project timelines and budgets.
Key aspects of the role include:
• Project Leadership: Coordinate engineering deliverables across multiple disciplines, ensuring seamless integration of mechanical systems into broader project objectives.
• Design & Technical Expertise: Develop detailed mechanical designs using industry-standard CAD tools, adhering to engineering standards and best practices.
• Execution & Oversight: Manage procurement processes, track supplier progress, and oversee on-site installation and startup activities to guarantee successful equipment acceptance.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with internal teams, contractors, and plant personnel to resolve technical challenges, influence decisions, and maintain clear communication throughout the project.
• Continuous Improvement: Support pre-studies for future deployment projects, contribute to process optimization, and provide training for maintenance teams on new systems.
• This role requires adaptability to varying work schedules, including occasional weekends or holidays during plant shutdowns or critical installations, and offers an opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects that enhance operational efficiency and reliability.

Skills and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• 2–4 years in Mechanical Engineering roles.
• Mechanical design standards using CAD tools (AutoCAD/SolidWorks).
• Project Team Leadership or Project Management experience.
• Ability to travel up to 5% (domestic and some international). • Experience with robotic systems (Fanuc, ABB preferred).
• Familiarity with automation systems and providing training/support to maintenance teams.
• Knowledge of ergonomic and safety risk assessments.
• Exposure to industrial plant environments and capital project execution.
