Job Description

The Installation Technician 3 is responsible for performing installation tasks for AVI-SPL contracted projects, including cable pulls, terminations, system equipment and component setup, rack fabrication, wiring layout, and metal fabrication. This role requires leading and directing installation crews on larger, more complex projects by coordinating efforts and reporting progress to the Project Manager to ensure projects meet time, scope, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction requirements. The position involves interpreting electronic schematics and architectural blueprints, using hand and power tools for AV-related tasks, testing cabling and system functionality, and supporting engineers or programmers with minor programming changes. Additional responsibilities include managing and securing equipment and tools on-site, initiating return material authorizations, supervising installation teams, communicating job site status, and completing required documentation. Acting as a customer liaison, coordinating with other trades, performing client training, and traveling to various job sites are also essential aspects of the role. Flexibility to take on additional tasks and adapt to evolving priorities is expected.

Skills and Requirements

- 5+ years of AV Install exp

- Expert-level knowledge of audio-visual systems, including projectors, displays, speakers, microphones, video conferencing platforms, digital signage, and integrated control systems.

- Proficiency in low-voltage cabling installation and troubleshooting (HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optic), with hands-on experience in conduit runs, cable trays, and structured wiring methods.

- Experience identifying and resolving complex audiovisual system issues efficiently

- Understanding of network infrastructure integration with AV systems, including IP-based solutions, streaming technologies, and cloud-based services. CTS
