    Salary Grade 18: $64,928 -$75,000

     

    100% FTE 37.5 Hours Weekly

     

    The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated grants office administrator who is comfortable multi-tasking in running a pre-award and post-award grants office. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills to manage NIH grant awards and private sponsor awards. The position requires strong time management skills and interpersonal skills interfacing with research scientists and other administrators from various research institutions. To be successful in this role the candidate should have excellent computer skills, including MS Office Suite, Excel, Word and Outlook. The candidate should also have strong analytical skills in reviewing and putting together budgets. This is a grant-based position.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Reviews grant budget applications for completeness and accuracy

    + Calculates salary calculations based on NIH and Institution guidelines.

    + Maintains a grant database of all grant submissions.

    + Administers the ERA NIH Commons System and updates grant statuses accordingly.

    + Manages the completeness of financial disclosures and required grant submission documentation.

    + Prepares the fiscal year-end budgeting for direct and indirect cost expenditures.

    + Assists in the posting of all job postings and onboarding of all new hires.

    + Handles all human resources transactions while interfacing with central office human resources.

    + Conducts background screening for new hire candidates.

    + Processes all reimbursement transactions of grant expenditures for research scientists and employees.

    + Coordinates the processing of all grant purchase orders with outside vendors and ensures timely payment of invoices.

    + Administrator for the Oracle timekeeping system, I-solved applicant hiring software, E-Verify employment eligibility system.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in a related field and one year of relevant experience or

    + Associate's Degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience or

    + High school diploma and four years of relevant experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in business administration or accounting.

    + Experience working in a grants office

    + Some human resources and or purchasing experience.
