Job Summary:
The Senior Director, Vail Resorts Rental & Retail Marketing is responsible for revenue growth strategy, brand strategy, go-to-market planning, and team leadership for the Company’s Rental, My Epic Gear and Retail lines of business in North America.
As a key leader on the Vail Resorts Marketing team, the Senior Director of Marketing helps establish short and long-term strategic plans for the growth and evolution of the gear and retail businesses. S/he must work in strong partnership with Vail Resorts Retail Operations, executive leadership, and other omnichannel marketing leaders to set and achieve current and future revenue targets. S/he owns the marketing vision and brand architecture across the portfolio of 50+ retail and rental brands that Vail Resorts Retail (VRR) operates across 250+ physical locations and within ecommerce. S/he must leverage strategic insights and analytical rigor, while managing finite resources across complex priorities to deliver exceptional results.
The Senior Director leads the VRR Marketing Team to create and execute the strategic marketing plans that leverage paid media, digital and ecommerce channels, CRM, email, physical signage and direct marketing, all in alignment with Vail Resorts’ overall marketing practices and approach.
Job Specifications:
+ Starting Wage: $168,000 - $215,000 + annual bonus + equity

Job Responsibilities:
+ Leads the establishment of a high-growth roadmap for VRR’s gear rentals business, including, but not limited to, development of product roadmap, brand position and guidelines, guest acquisition strategy, go to market launch plans, guest retention strategy and performance tracking to deliver revenue and capture objectives.
+ Serves as a key member of the Ancillary Marketing Leadership team, leading a group of talented marketers to consistently reimagine strategy and go-to-market plans to rapidly meet the needs of today’s guests and consumers.
+ Serves as a cross-functional member on the VRR Leadership Team, providing thought leadership across revenue growth strategy, product, messaging and positioning to deliver against growth objectives.
+ Ensures subject matter expertise across consumer and competitive behavior of Vail Resorts guests to lead with credibility and fluency.
+ Owns annual budgeting process for VRR Marketing (My Epic Gear, Rental, Retail), including budget development, forecasts and spending approvals.
+ Strong learning agility. Enjoys and excels in environments where s/he must tackle and solve new and increasingly complex strategic business challenges and issues—incorporating the newest ideas, technologies, and approaches to business.
+ A brave, ambitious, and passionate leader who is comfortable in his/her own skin while also demonstrating a high level of emotional intelligence and self-awareness.
+ Other duties as assigned.

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $168,000 - $215,000 + annual bonus + equity. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment for Broomfield-based roles where employees must live within 50 miles of the Broomfield office and work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.
