Garelick Farms, Dairy Farmers of America, is excited to announce an opening for a General Laborer 2** **nd** **Shift Position!

External Candidate -$1,500.00 sign-on bonus
2** **nd** **Shift: Mondays thru Fridays 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
Rate: $18.75 + $1.50 Shift Diff. (2** **nd** **and 3** **rd** **Shifts)
GENERAL PURPOSE
Perform a variety of general duties of a basic, repetitive, and/or manual nature that are relevant to the work area(s) being supported.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Assist operators as necessary.
+ Load and/or unload materials, ingredients, parts, products, cases, crates, and pallets.
+ Move, stack, or place items on conveyor manually or by mechanized means.
+ Deliver production or area specific items to designated work areas for processing.
+ Pack products in crates or boxes by hand.
+ Sort, bundle, and fill containers or place in assembled units.
+ Mark or put identifying labels on product loads.
+ Construct or de-construct shipping boxes.
+ Maintain general housekeeping of the assigned area.
+ Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
+ Report quality and operational issues or irregularities to supervisor as they occur.
+ Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding.
+ health and safety issues
+ Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate.
+ regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
+ Warehouse, production, or general work experience preferred.
+ Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
+ Able to follow directions and carry out instructions.
+ Able to effectively work in a team environment.
+ Able to legibly write entries for record keeping.
+ Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
+ Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
+ Must be able to read, write and speak English.
