POSITION OVERVIEW:

Waverly-Shell Rock Community School District seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic team member passionate about working with middle school students. RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Provide specialized instruction adapted to individual student needs and learning styles

+ Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, general education teachers, and support staffCollaborate with grade-level and content team members

+ Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of roster students

+ Deliver instruction in various settings, including resource rooms, self-contained classrooms, and general education classrooms, using co-teaching or pull-out models

+ Maintain effective classroom management and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment

+ Assess student work, provide meaningful feedback, and maintain accurate records

+ Monitor student progress toward IEP goals and objectives, adjusting instruction as needed

+ Communicate regularly and effectively with students, families, and administration

+ Participate actively in team meetings and professional learning communities

+ Partner with general education teachers to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications are implemented in the least restrictive environment

+ Coordinate with related service providers such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists

+ Support the school's mission of growing, learning, and leading

+ Contribute to a culture where all students experience belonging, opportunity, and achievement
