Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team in Corona, California. This contract position requires expertise in managing project-based financial tasks, as well as reconciling accounts and ensuring accurate job costing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accounting and be proficient in Foundation software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile cost codes and accounts for multiple projects to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Perform detailed job costing and labor reconciliation for each project.

• Utilize the Foundation software platform to enter data and generate financial reports.

• Manage project accounting tasks, including creating and maintaining mini WIP schedules.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial inputs.

• Review and reconcile Excel reports, integrating them into the Foundation system.

• Monitor and analyze project budgets to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.

• Maintain accurate records of job costs, labor expenses, and project-specific financial data.

• Provide support for audits and prepare documentation as needed.

Requirements • Proven experience in project accounting, preferably within the construction industry.

• Strong proficiency in Foundation software and other relevant accounting platforms.

• Familiarity with job costing and labor reconciliation processes.

• Ability to manage high volumes of projects and associated financial data.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Knowledge of mini WIP schedules and construction project accounting workflows.
