Description We are looking for a dedicated Medical Customer Service Representative to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Roseville, California. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting patients and medical staff by delivering excellent customer service and ensuring smooth administrative operations. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment while building relationships and enhancing patient experiences.
Responsibilities:
• Handle incoming calls and inquiries from patients, providing accurate information and assistance about appointments, billing, and other services.
• Schedule patient appointments efficiently while adhering to clinic protocols and availability.
• Verify medical insurance information to ensure accurate billing and seamless patient care.
• Maintain and update patient medical charts and records in the electronic practice management system.
• Conduct reminder calls to patients regarding upcoming appointments or necessary follow-ups.
• Collaborate with medical staff to address patient concerns and improve clinic workflow.
• Utilize medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Operate standard office equipment and computer software to complete daily administrative tasks.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing patient needs promptly and professionally.
• Support the supervisor and other team members in maintaining clinic efficiency and resource management. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least six months of experience in a medical office setting or a high-volume customer service position is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
• Proficiency in keyboarding and computer software, including familiarity with electronic practice management systems.
• Solid understanding of medical terminology is essential.
• Experience with scheduling, patient billing, and medical insurance verification is highly desirable.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality.
