Description We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a dynamic architecture firm in New York, New York for a part-time contract position. This role involves working two days per week over a period of 4-8 weeks to provide essential bookkeeping support during a medical leave. If you are detail-oriented, proficient in QuickBooks Desktop, and have a strong background in financial management, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile multiple bank accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Verify and process daily deposits efficiently and accurately.

• Assist in managing payroll operations using Paychex software.

• Balance the checkbook and maintain detailed cash records.

• Perform general bookkeeping tasks to support the firm’s financial operations.

• Ensure accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable entries.

• Utilize QuickBooks Desktop for financial tracking and reporting.

• Collaborate with team members to address any discrepancies or financial concerns. Requirements • A minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop is required.

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations.

• Familiarity with payroll systems such as Paychex.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Previous experience in a part-time contract role is a plus.
