Job Title: Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to assist with the administrative tasks of design, pre-construction, and construction phase project management. This role involves managing scope, scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and the out-to-bid process. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Project and Sr. Project Managers and oversee the work of the design team, requiring minimal oversight.
Responsibilities
+ Work directly with the Project Management team to manage and estimate construction projects.
+ Complete engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.
+ Review drawings for accuracy.
+ Assemble details necessary to prepare job bid proposals.
+ Develop relationships with sub-contractors and interact with them to secure information for job bids.
+ Support the Project Manager in collecting information for the monthly Work in Progress (WIP) report.
+ Assist with projecting and adhering to job budget and task timing.
+ Maintain project schedule by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and resolving issues.
+ Control project costs by recommending expenditures and administering contracts.
+ Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
+ Travel to job site locations when necessary to review progress and provide solutions.
+ Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
+ Update the project database by maintaining construction systems.
+ Support the Project Manager by responding to customer inquiries.
+ Contribute to team efforts by achieving related results as needed.
+ Manage project financials, administration, implementation, management, and customer satisfaction for assigned projects.
+ Implement and manage HVAC equipment projects, ensuring accountability for scope of work and schedule.
+ Manage a portfolio of projects, including multi-building or complex construction projects.
+ Review contract documents, hold internal meetings, establish customer expectations, and develop risk mitigation plans.
+ Ensure compliance with internal equipment ordering processes.
+ Maintain accuracy of forecasted cost at completion and control expenses by monitoring assigned project budget.

+ Degree in Construction Management or Engineering
+ Experience in Construction Management / Project Management
+ Mechanical Construction Experience
+ Proficient in RFI's, Submittals, Mechanical, Electrical, Construction documents, Change orders, and Project coordination
+ Proficiency in PM Construction Software
+ Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
+ Effective communication skills
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
+ Capability to meet tight deadlines in a high-paced environment with attention to detail
Work Environment
The role involves working in an office environment with occasional on-site visits to project sites. The office to field work ratio is approximately 80/20. The position offers the opportunity to interface with executives of a Fortune 500 company and exposure to state-of-the-art data centers. The work environment is dynamic, with opportunities for long-term engagement.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Muskogee, OK.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $48.08/hr.
