Analytical Chemist
Job Description
We are seeking an Analytical Chemist to execute analytical testing using GC-FID, GC-MS, and UV-Vis methods. You will collaborate with scientists and engineers to plan experimental designs that address challenging analytical problems in filtration product development. The role involves analyzing and interpreting data, authoring detailed reports and data presentations, and participating in problem-solving to provide recommendations to the project team based on analytical data. Additional assignments, such as standardized testing and EHS initiatives, may also be required.
Responsibilities
+ Execute analytical testing using GC-FID, GC-MS, and UV-Vis methods.
+ Collaborate with scientists and engineers to plan experimental designs.
+ Analyze and interpret analytical data.
+ Author detailed reports and data presentations.
+ Participate in problem-solving and provide recommendations based on analytical data.
+ Perform additional assignments such as standardized testing and EHS initiatives.
Essential Skills
+ Expertise in hands-on chromatography (e.g., HPLC, SEC, LCMS, GCMS) with ideally 8+ years of experience.
+ Experience with bioanalytical testing such as CEDEX Testing and Microbial Plate reading.
+ Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to create test methods dependent on the task.
+ Minimum Bachelor's Degree in chemistry, biochemistry, materials, or related fields.
+ 5+ years of relevant industrial experience.
+ 5+ years of hands-on experience with gas chromatography.
+ 8+ years in an analytical chemistry lab.
+ Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Proficiency in mass spectrometry and chromatography techniques.
+ Experience with laboratory and analytical chemistry tools.
Work Environment
This position is based in a lab/office setting with 1st shift hours. The role offers an opportunity to work on a unique and critical project with high potential for future business opportunities.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
