Job Title: Truck Mechanic** **Job Description
As a Truck Shop Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on various vehicles and equipment. This includes trucks (diesel tractors), trailers, forklifts, and company vehicles such as Ford Edge, Ford F150, and Ford F350. You will also be accountable for maintaining spare parts and inventory, ensuring your work area is organized and clean, and performing other duties as requested or assigned.
Responsibilities
+ Perform maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers, forklifts, and company vehicles.
+ Maintain and manage spare parts and inventory effectively.
+ Ensure the organization and cleanliness of the work area.
+ Complete all other duties as requested or assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to troubleshoot and repair vehicles and equipment.
+ Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
+ Experience in reading and understanding blueprints and wiring diagrams.
+ Skills in installation, preventive maintenance, and working with engines and transmissions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Prioritize safety, quality, and production.
+ General automotive and/or truck repair experience.
+ Must provide own basic tools and have a clear driving record.
+ Physical ability to stand, stoop, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs.
+ Self-motivated and team-oriented.

Work Environment
Work primarily in a truck shop that is dirty and non-climate controlled, with some outdoor work required. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moncure, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
