    Job Title: Prefab Operator** **Job Description

     

    As a Prefab Operator, you will utilize prefab equipment to prepare parts for fabrication. This role involves the precise use of a tape measure to determine correct cut lengths, converting decimals to fractions, and reducing fractions from 1/16th of an inch. You will also operate cutting equipment, drills, saws, and grinders as necessary, and perform layout of parts according to detailed drawings.

    Responsibilities

    + Use prefab equipment to prepare parts for fabrication.

    + Accurately measure and cut parts using a tape measure, converting and reducing fractions.

    + Operate cutting equipment, including drills, saws, and grinders.

    + Perform layout of parts in alignment with provided drawings.

    + Prepare cutting lists based on drawings.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in MIG welding and fitting.

    + Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.

    + Strong skills in using a tape measure and converting measurements.

    + Competency in shop math.

    + Experience with metals cutting equipment such as saws, drills, and torches.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in a manufacturing environment.

    + Ability to wear multiple hats and adapt to different tasks.

    + Team-oriented mindset.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, WA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
