Spot Welder Operator-2nd shift

Job Description

Join our team as a Spot Welder Operator for the 2nd shift, running from 2:30 PM to 11 PM, Monday to Friday. In this role, you will work in a dynamic job shop environment where you will operate specialized equipment to install fasteners and perform resistance spot welding on sheet metal components.

Responsibilities

+ Operate PEM insertion machines to install self-clinching fasteners such as nuts, studs, and standoffs into sheet metal parts.

+ Operate spot welding equipment to join metal components efficiently.

+ Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to complete work accurately.

+ Inspect completed work for accuracy, alignment, and adherence to quality standards using measurement and quality tools.

+ Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of experience in manufacturing.

+ Proficient in spot welding.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Experience with machine operation.

+ Proficiency in using hand, measurement, and power tools.

+ Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ CNC exposure is an advantage.

+ Experience in sheet metal fabrication is beneficial.

Work Environment

Our facility, built in 2021, is very clean, safe, and climate-controlled, ensuring a comfortable working environment. You will have the opportunity to work overtime, typically 45-50 hours, with occasional 10 and 12-hour shifts mainly on the production side. The company is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and is experiencing growth, being booked for years of work. We manufacture over 10,000 parts for various industries including data centers, vessels, industrial, commercial, and residential sectors.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alliance, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
