Job Title: CNC Operator** **Job Description

The CNC Operator is responsible for the timely and accurate production of metallic machined parts per the specifications and requirements of the shop traveler. This role involves error-free processing of each order and completing the necessary paperwork and computer data entries associated with the CNC Production Process.

Responsibilities

+ Operate, maintain, clean, setup, load, and unload the CNC Router.

+ Effectively and efficiently carry out the production process, including receiving orders, allocating resources, loading machines, and running jobs.

+ Inspect products and ensure they meet customer specifications.

+ Clean, label, and stage finished parts, offload scrap or stock, and return any materials as needed.

+ Maintain an organized, clean work area and process jobs through the system.

+ Regularly clean and maintain equipment and machinery.

+ Program and troubleshoot CNC Router functions.

+ Understand the company’s objectives and mission.

+ Practice a willingness to learn production and distribution methodology.

+ Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, quality standards, and procedures.

+ Cross-train other team members as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ Valid Driver’s License.

+ Two or more years of machine operating experience.

+ Intermediate or higher CNC operation experience.

+ Good reading and math skills.

+ Good organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.

+ Good written and oral communication skills.

+ Computer skills.

+ Ability to measure using different tools.

+ Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and accept direction.

+ Strong work ethic; self-motivated.

+ Operate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations with co-workers, customers, and suppliers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Coursework in metalworking, blueprint reading, drafting, and math.

+ Two years of machine operating experience.

+ One or more years of CNC router operation experience.

+ Mastercam experience.

Work Environment

Work in a non-climate controlled environment cutting metals down to order specifications. The warehouse is comfortable, with heaters in winter and large fans in summer. The dress code includes jeans, a t-shirt, and steel-toed shoes. The third shift hours are Sun-Thurs 10pm-6:30am, with Friday overtime opportunities. Enjoy a 30-minute lunch break in a supportive and dynamic workplace.

This is a Permanent position based out of Wichita, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $49920.00/yr.
