    Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

    Job Description

    The Maintenance Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers, ensuring efficient and high-quality production processes.

    Responsibilities

    + Recommend measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.

    + Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.

    + Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems to detect production problems.

    + Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personal grievances.

    + Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

    + Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

    + Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution.

    + Understanding of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.

    + Familiarity with design techniques, tools, and principles for creating precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or GED required; an Associate's degree in business or a related field is preferred.

    + Two years of experience in supervision, maintenance technician roles, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, repair, maintenance management, and safety.

    + Experience in maintenance supervision and manufacturing.

    + Organizational leadership, management, or technical degree will be advantageous.

    + Experience with die casting and union environments.

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.

    + Experience in machine injection molding and high-volume manufacturing is a plus.

    This role offers a daily challenge in a complex aluminum die cast facility. You will have the opportunity to build relationships across various facilities. The environment encourages continuous learning and growth.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is fast-paced, requiring the ability to adjust quickly and manage multiple tasks, including overseeing 21 different machines. The facility is not air-conditioned, and attendance is crucial. The team includes 15 to 20 members and 2 team leaders. Shifts are 12 hours per day, either from 6:30 AM to 7 PM or 6:30 PM to 7 AM, with a 3 days on, 2 days off rotation.

    This is a Contract position based out of Bedford, IN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
