    Job Title: Forklift Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to efficiently load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers. The ideal candidate will operate forklifts and other material handling equipment with precision, ensuring the accurate and timely shipment of goods. This role requires maintaining a clean and organized dock area, inspecting and maintaining equipment to ensure safe operations, and following all safety protocols and procedures. Additional duties include assisting with the filling of Ag Fluid totes, which necessitates high attention to detail.

    Responsibilities

    + Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.

    + Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.

    + Ensure accurate and timely shipment of goods.

    + Maintain a clean and organized dock area.

    + Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure safe operation.

    + Follow all safety protocols and procedures.

    + Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

    + Assist with filling of Ag Fluid totes, including operating pump system to fill containers.

    Essential Skills

    + Material handling

    + Loading and unloading

    + Inventory management

    + Forklift operation

    + 2+ years of warehouse or distribution experience

    + High attention to detail

    + Ability to operate sit-down forklift

    + Work independently and be a self-starter

    + RF scanner usage

    + Shipping and receiving

    + General labor experience

     

    Work Environment

     

    You will work in a small team of 8-10 employees, with a schedule from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime is minimal, making this an ideal fit for those seeking a balanced work schedule. The dress code includes jeans, work-appropriate sweatshirts or t-shirts, and steel toe boots.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianola, IA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
