Job Title: Controls & Automation Engineer
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Controls & Automation Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in managing BACO controls and commissioning operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to work both in-house and in the field, closely collaborating with test cell and production teams to ensure the seamless operation of control systems.
Responsibilities
+ Perform commissioning tasks and ensure successful unit acceptance tests.
+ Load, calibrate, and update software as required.
+ Access firmware, set parameters, and conduct basic inspections on power electronics cabinets to ensure proper assembly and hardware functionality.
+ Check electronic components and utilize test equipment extensively.
+ Document procedures meticulously and prepare work orders and work processes.
+ Identify corrective actions and troubleshoot issues with a logical approach.
+ Understand and interpret instrumentation signals for code reflection.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Allen-Bradley controls engineering.
+ 3+ years of controls engineering experience.
+ Experience with PLC programming and HMI for Turbine Operations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Troubleshooting skills.
+ Experience in field operations.
+ Knowledge of power generation and generation regulators.
+ Familiarity with Siemens control systems and firmware.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Katy, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
