Job Title: Survey TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a Survey Technician to join our expanding team in Miami. You will engage in both small and large-scale projects, working collaboratively to prepare site or building information models and CAD deliverables. Our projects span commercial, retail, and residential properties across Florida.

Responsibilities

+ Collect field data for preparation of surveys using surveying equipment and software.

+ Use reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, and aerial photographs to assess project needs and assist in project approach.

+ Assist in recovery of survey control and monumentation, construction layout, obtaining invert and subsurface utility information, and photo documentation of the project area.

+ Recommend new approaches and ideas that continuously improve efficiency and services performed.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in CAD and surveying software.

+ Experience in topographic, boundary, and utility surveys, as well as construction layout.

+ Strong mathematical abilities.

+ Excellent analytical and judgment capabilities.

+ Ability to multi-task effectively and maintain strong attention to detail.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.

+ Ability to work well independently and within teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High School diploma or higher required; Bachelor’s degree in Surveying or similar field is a plus.

+ Experience with GPS technology is advantageous.

+ Proficiency in computer skills, including Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Terramodel, and Carlson.

+ Valid driver’s license in good standing.

+ Willingness to travel to project sites and/or client locations as needed.

+ Ability to participate in field work and work during evenings and/or weekends when necessary.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr.
