Job Title: Project SpecialistJob Description

We are seeking an Intern Architect/Project Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role initially supports a large retail program with opportunities to engage in a variety of commercial projects. You will gain experience across project phases from conception to completion, including producing construction documents and engaging in design, construction administration, and project management. Coordination with consulting engineers is also a key aspect of this role.

Responsibilities

+ Review and analyze work requirements to efficiently use resources and avoid conflicts.

+ Adhere to schedules and directions from project leaders.

+ Maintain a list of project-related questions for review with project leads.

+ Complete drafting assignments with technical skill, accuracy, and speed.

+ Collaborate with internal departments and teams as directed.

+ Utilize CADD skills and 3D rendering programs like Photoshop for project development.

+ Ensure quality assurance by following office standards for production drawings and checking work for errors.

+ Communicate questions, problems, and changes to project leads and team members.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school of Architecture.

+ 1-3 years of experience in an architectural firm, preferably with retail or commercial projects.

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD.

+ Strong communication and organizational skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Revit and Photoshop is a plus.

+ Self-motivated and capable of working independently.

+ Experience in rendering is advantageous.

Work Environment

This position is based in the office five days a week, with 12 remote days available annually. The work environment is relaxed, flexible, and emphasizes a teaching-first mentality. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Independence, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $31.25/hr.
