Job Title: Medical Assistant - Adult Neurology

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join the Department of Neurology team. This role involves supporting physicians in providing hands-on care to patients with neurological conditions. You will be responsible for managing patient vitals, rooming patients, scheduling, and patient registration. A calm and professional demeanor is essential for handling patient interactions effectively.

Responsibilities

+ Handle patient check-in, check-out, and vitals.

+ Take patient calls and monitor new and returning patient contacts.

+ Record and update patient medical histories in the EPIC EHR system.

+ Monitor supply inventory to ensure adequate supplies and equipment.

+ Clean and stock exam rooms when necessary.

+ Room patients and measure and record vital signs.

+ Prepare patients for examinations and perform basic lab tests.

Essential Skills

+ Certified Medical Assistant - CCMA/RMA certification.

+ Proficiency with EPIC - EHR System Software.

+ At least 1 year of experience as a medical assistant.

+ Experience with patient registration and scheduling.

+ Skills in patient care and medical assisting.

+ Ability to perform phlebotomy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Completed a Medical Assistant program.

+ Updated BLS certification.

+ 1 year of EPIC experience is a plus.

Work Environment

This position is based in a clinical setting within the Neuro Department. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
