Construction Cleaning Crew – (Cedar Rapids, IA)

Schedule

+ **Regular Hours:** Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (average)

+ **Overtime:** Some days may run longer due to construction; occasional Saturdays required

+ **First Day:** Arrive in parking lot by **5:15 AM** for orientation; work hours **5:30 AM – 1:30 PM**

+ **Lunch:** 30-minute unpaid lunch; pack lunch with ice pack (no refrigerators available). Microwaves provided.

+ **Current Average:** ~42-hour workweek

Job Duties

+ Perform **ongoing construction cleaning** and **final cleaning services** inside the QTS Data Center.

+ Clean all exposed interior surfaces from floor to building deck above.

+ Tasks include:

+ Mopping, wiping, vacuuming, and brushing surfaces to remove dust and dirt during construction

+ Pressure washing outside panels, generator coverings, and flooring once installed

+ Use equipment such as:

+ Scissor lifts, boom poles, brooms, towels, and ladders for hard-to-reach areas

+ Work will occur **around active construction** , so alertness and safety awareness are critical.

+ Physical requirements: standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders throughout the shift.

Qualifications

+ Ability to work safely in an active construction environment

+ Comfortable with physical tasks and operating cleaning equipment

+ Reliable attendance and willingness to work occasional overtime and Saturdays

+ **Must be able to work 15–19 feet off the floor daily** to clean server racks, trays, and structural beams

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
