The **Solutions Operations Manager** This position leads a team responsible
for performing installations and commissioning for fire and security systems in
Louisville, KY and Cincinnati, OH. Candidates should reside in or near
either office location and be willing and able to travel to each location
at least two days per week. This role is office and job-site based, remote work
is only permitted with prior approval.
The right candidate will provide
technical expertise, leadership, and accountability for all installed
projects, technical support programs, and time-and-materials (T&M)
work.
As a Solutions Operations Manager, you will:
+ Supervise, train, and mentor the Fire& Security project teams; set goals, monitor performance, conductemployee review meetings, and schedule formal training. Maintains teamutilization goals.
+ Schedule and assign installation andcommissioning tasks to the team.
+ Ensure schedules are maintained andprojects proceed according to plans, job specifications, and costestimates.
+ Maintain and improve planned and bookedmargins for technical support programs.
+ Direct and supervise the developmentand use of project plans in monitoring and controlling the execution ofwork.
+ Review customer feedback and ensurecustomer retention and account growth goals such as adds, extras,upgrades, and escalations are achieved.
+ Maintain the relationships betweensales, engineering, and executions teams so changes and discrepancies canbe managed to minimize cost and delay throughout the estimating andexecution phases of projects.
+ Support project profitability throughcost-containment procedures and processes.
+ Travel between branch locations asneeded (Louisville & Cincinnati).
+ Reviews plans and specification andperforms pre-bid technical cost reviews.
+ Provide backup and support to projectmanagers - acts as project manager for select projects.
+ Ensure team adherence to local,corporate and OSHA safety policies and procedures. Conducts on-site safetyaudits.
+ Visits construction / job-sites andcustomer sites on a regular basis to support technicians and meetwith customers.
+ First level escalation for after-hourson-call.
+ Facilitates a turnover from projectmanagers to project technicians and provides all necessary projectdocumentation, including scope of work, drawings, applicablespecifications, application-engineered drawings, project contacts, etc.
+ Supports fire alarm permitting processthrough local AHJ.

Basic qualifications:
• Associate degree
from a two-year college or technical school;
• 2+ years of
Experience in engineering or project management
• 1+ Experience
supervising teams; 3• Excellent
organizational and interpersonal skills
• 2+ years of Experience with Fire Alarm or Security systems
• NICET Level 2 or
higher; if not, must be willing to achieve in the first year of
employment
• Proficient in
Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with
Bluebeam or equivalent software preferred
• Qualified
applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States
• Must be 21 years of
age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
