_Our client, a leading global pharmaceutical company, is looking for a skilled Research Associate / Scientist I to join their team in Fairfield County, CT! This is a great opportunity for someone to launch their career in vitro and cell-based research activities._
**Pay rate:** $38 - $42/hr.
**Location:** Fairfield County, CT
**Job type:** Contract- hire
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented research professional to support in vitro and cell-based research activities. The successful candidate will independently conduct routine experiments, assist with non-routine assay development, and contribute to data interpretation and scientific documentation while maintaining high standards of data integrity, safety, and compliance.
Responsibilities
+ Independently initiate, execute, and complete routine in vitro cell-based and biochemical experiments efficiently and with minimal supervision.
+ Interpret experimental data, propose appropriate follow-up studies, and effectively troubleshoot technical issues.
+ Assist in the design and execution of non-routine and exploratory assays, including cell-based and biochemical methods.
+ Perform literature searches and extract relevant scientific information from publications and established protocols.
+ Independently operate and maintain laboratory equipment; identify and resolve equipment-related issues as needed.
+ Communicate experimental results clearly and effectively through oral presentations, written summaries, and technical reports.
+ Contribute to the preparation of protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and scientific reports.
+ Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs).
+ Ensure data integrity and always adhere to ethical research practices.
+ Perform all work in compliance with applicable regulations, safety guidelines, SOPs, and company policies.
Requirements
+ Master’s degree in a scientific discipline Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant laboratory experience.
+ Prior experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO environments is highly desirable.
+ Hands-on experience with aseptic animal tissue culture techniques.
+ Proficiency in basic molecular biology techniques, including Nucleic acid extraction, RT-PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, Transfection.
+ Experience with experimental design, execution, and data interpretation.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated eagerness to learn and adopt new technologies.
+ Proficiency in data analysis and documentation using Microsoft Excel and GraphPad Prism.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to report technical data clearly and accurately.
