Job Description:
The Quality Assurance (QA) Color Analyst evaluates, documents, submits, and tests new or modified color samples and paints associated with the vendor color match process.
This position evaluates customer sample request, test samples, and confirm if any previous products from color database are available. Coordinate with paint vendor for all needed requests, monitor all submitted request for timely delivery, evaluate new paint matches, log data, and determine if vendor received match fits request and submit to customer service.
The person in this position applies sound analytical and critical thinking methods to develop creative, cost-effective, and successful solutions to product, data, and software problems.
This position is responsible for accurate reporting of defective material and losses to vendors.
The position is also responsible for systematically integrating new materials to our business to improve quality and expand current systems to prevent defect reoccurrences.
The Color Analyst has a strong presence with suppliers, customers, and colleagues on an international level and must be a confident and effective communicator.
• Responsible for all aspects of color matching process with vendors.
• Responsible for accurate completion of defective material reports (DMR) and contacting vendor and forwarding samples and photos. Ensures DMR status is maintained and updated in the database.
• Log all material hold tickets into database and file appropriately.
• Assist with internal document control to include sorting, numbering, filing, scanning, printing, distributing, storing, and retrieval of both electronic and hard copy documents for all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Serve as ISO Internal Auditor and conduct assessments to verify company’s documentation meets ISO 9001 requirements.
• Understand New Paint Code process and Release New Codes as needed.
• Report Color Match, DMR’s and Hold Metrics on a monthly basis.
• Review, modify, and implement quality standards and test methods using ISO guidelines.
• Update, file, and report data regularly via email or company databases and forms.
• Work closely with multiple departments, suppliers, and customers.
• Effectively communicate procedures, activities, and data in a professional manner.
• Other duties as assigned by department manager.

Education
+ Bachelor’s degree in quality management or related technical field.
Experience
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Systems role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment required.
Skills
+ Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, email, and basic Windows applications.
+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills required.
Pay Transparency
+ **The salary range for this position is $73,050 - $91,312. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.**
