Special Education Teacher – $47/hr – Austin, TX – In-Person – 20 Weeks

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide quality services to students in a specialized classroom setting. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, this role involves planning and implementing individualized programs, providing special instruction, and collaborating with general education staff to support student success.

Assignment Details:

+ Location: Austin, TX

+ Start Date: March 9, 2026

+ End Date: June 3, 2026

+ Schedule: Monday–Friday

+ Hours: 40 per week

+ Duration: 20 weeks

+ Pay Rate: $47/hour

+ Modality: In-person only

+ Openings: 1 position

+ Interview: Virtual

+ Floating Requirement: None

Responsibilities:

+ Design and deliver individualized instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals

+ Create a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes academic growth and social-emotional development

+ Collaborate closely with families, related service providers, and general education staff

+ Implement behavior-support plans and evidence-based practices to foster positive behavior and independence

Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

+ Valid Texas teaching certificate (Special Education required)

+ Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred)

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)

+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray (if applicable)

+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
