Overview
Come join the **Center of Money** team as a **Back End Staff Software Engineer** working on strategic products and features designed to tackle new customer markets and drive growth for Intuit. We are a fast-moving team using deep customer empathy and insights to produce rapid value for the company and our customers.
Responsibilities
+ Understand application and service architectures in order to design solutions to enhance the customer experience.
+ Communicate with users, other technical leaders, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and contribute to architectural technical designs
+ Develop frontend experiences using React and Intuit specific languages
+ Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams: product management, QA/QE, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results
+ Propose and evaluate changes to the deployment architecture to improve performance, scalability, and/or manageability
+ Experience writing RESTful web services
+ Solve complex problems and provide clear and concise recommendations evaluating and identifying appropriate technical solutions
+ Guiding a large scrum team responsible for end-to-end TurboTax web experiences
+ Acting in a technical leadership capacity: Mentoring junior engineers, new team members, and applying technical expertise to challenging programming and design problems (Roughly 60-75% hands-on coding)
+ Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologiesPay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. Qualifications
+ 6+ years experience developing high-volume web applications using Java
+ 2+ years experience with Amazon Web Services
+ Client Side experience - JavaScript, React / Redux or similar / HTML / CSS / Sass (or equivalent)
+ Server Side experience - Java, DBs, hosting in an AWS environment
+ BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.
+ Excellent communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
+ Innovator; proven track record of innovative software delivery
+ Experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
+ Strong understanding of the Software design/architecture process.
+ Experience with unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD).
+ Passion for growing and applying technical skills in service to customers
+ Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, and/or Extreme Programming methodologies
+ Will be on-call for urgent issues

Southern California: $184,500.00 - 250,000.00
