Our client is a leading U.S. financial institution operating a large network of branches and ATMs across multiple states. The organization is a Fortune 500 company with a long history formed through the merger of predecessor banks and maintains minority ownership in a major payments company.
_Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance._
Rate: $55.00 to $65.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
+ Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for banking systems and processes.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to define functional specifications and ensure alignment with business objectives.
+ Support mainframe-based applications with preference for COBOL or Assembler experience.
+ Lead and assist in system conversion projects while ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption.
+ Translate business requirements into technical specifications for development teams.
+ Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements.
+ Perform detailed testing and validation of system changes.
+ Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for requirements, processes, and workflows.
+ Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure clear communication.
Experience Requirements:

+ Banking domain expertise, including knowledge of core banking products such as deposits, loans, and payments.
+ Hands-on experience with mainframe systems with preference for COBOL or Assembler.
+ Proven experience in system conversions and migrations.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
+ Ability to work with technical teams and understand system architecture.
+ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
+ Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and testing practices.
+ Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
+ Background as a business or technical analyst.
+ Mainframe development and platform engineering experience.
+ Experience with acquisition integrations and mergers and acquisitions preferred.
