Job Description

This individual will join a renowned AAA game franchise on their in-game Marketplace team. The team is focused on scalability and adding more content to the marketplace for players to enjoy the game.

An ideal candidate will need to have a background in web technologies, some experience with C++, or an understanding of data structures, algorithm design, gameplay, as well as game UI.

Additionally, this role is heavy bug fixing so a great candidate can execute bug fixing and other tasks in a timely manner. The role works with various team members so good communication is key to success.

Summary: The main function of the Web Developer is to design, code, and create system specifications, analyze, evaluate, test, debug, document, and implement complex software applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, code, test, document, implement, and maintain application programs and interfaces

• Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results

• Modify, install, and prepare technical documentation for system software applications

• Monitor systems capacity and performance, plan and execute disaster recovery procedures, and provide technical support • Identify, escalate and document production impact issues

• Evaluate user requests for new or modified computer programs to determine feasibility, cost, time required and compatibility with current systems and capabilities

• Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm:

The role will consist of: - 10% - Monday morning kickoffs for sprints, daily stand ups and check-ins, "feature crews" which have a weekly crew meeting to discuss the current projects. - 90% - heads down working with coding and front-end development

Skills and Requirements

Strong experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REACT

Light C++ (Ability to copy and paste C++ code, etc.) Gaming experience
