    Job Description

    Company Overview:

    One of Insight Global's clients is a Santa Clara-based biotech company specializing in the research, development, and manufacturing of products used for drug testing. Client develops and manufactures products to the biotech and clinical diagnostics sector.

    D2D:

    -Responsible for oversight and supervision of Shipping and Receiving staff and Inventory staff to ensure they meet goals and objectives and managing the day-to-day operations of the team.

     

    -Oversight and preparation of outgoing shipments, receipt of incoming shipments, and all related shipping duties.

     

    -Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and properly document shipping-related processes with good documentation practices.

     

    -Provide feedback to management on work-related issues and employee performance.

     

    -Provide or appropriately assign and ensure proper training to new hires.

     

    -Serve as primary contact for Shipping in communicating, coordinating, troubleshooting, and resolving all issues with various departments (Customer Service, Packaging, Production, Purchasing, Quality Control (QC), Inventory, Regulatory, and Finance) on product, shipping, receiving, inventory, and customer account issues.

     

    -Oversee shipment of all outgoing products - properly pick, package, and verify quantities, destination, and shipping account; Designate pick-up/drop off as needed.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    -3 years of leadership experience

     

    -Experience supervising teams in shipping, receiving, and production environments

     

    -Experience working with 3rd party vendors such as UPS and FedEx

     

    -Skilled in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel

     

    -Skilled in Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Docs)

     

    -Valid CA Driver's License and reliable vehicle (and willingness to occasionally drive to drop off sites)

     

    -Detail oriented documentation skills

     

    -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Forklift or pallet mover certification

     

    -QuickBooks software
