    The Role:

    The Senior Material Support Specialist provides comprehensive support for the purchasing, storage, movement, and control of materials and equipment. This role works closely with production, planning, vendors, and internal teams to ensure accurate material flow, timely delivery, and efficient operations while maintaining safety, quality, and compliance standards.

    Core Responsibilities:

    To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

     

    + Adhere to workplace safety and product quality standards

    + Process and approve freight invoices; code and upload into ERP

    + Maintain SAP reporting and perform Excel-based data analysis

    + Prepare shipping documents and complete ERP transactions

    + Support production planning based on operational needs

    + Participate in physical inventory and cycle counts

    + Receive materials, unload trucks, and complete goods receipt

    + Manage daily shipping orders and material movement

    + Enter and close orders in SAP

    + Prepare export, hazardous material, and international shipping documents

    + Communicate with vendors, internal teams, and customer service

    + Resolve claims, discrepancies, and material issues

    + Coordinate preventative maintenance for material handling equipment

    + Troubleshoot material flow to support on-time delivery

    + Lead and support Lean and 5S initiatives

    + Contribute to department performance and customer satisfaction

    Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma or equivalent

    + 3 + years of experience in inventory control or related experience

    + Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred)

    + Strong Excel skills for reporting and data analysis

    + Knowledge of shipping, receiving, export, and hazardous materials documentation

    + Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

    + Strong problem-solving and communication skills

    + Experience with Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement initiatives

    The estimated pay range for this position is $28/hr. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location.
