    Job Description

    Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).     Responsiblities

     

    Fleet, Fuel, and Equipment (FF&E) is looking for a motivated, self-starting Maintenance Specialist I to take the role of Fleet Commander Administrator. This position reports to the FF&E Supervisor and is located at the NNSS in Mercury, NV. This position requires the candidate to interact with multiple layers of management and employees in MSTS. It requires someone who is detail oriented and has a high level of organizational skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Responsible for wide variety of business activities of broad scope, related to light and heavy vehicles.

    + Fleet Commander Administrator – job is to monitor the system to make sure all information is correct for reporting (updates from coordinators on drivers/mgmt. etc), utilization of vehicles, random reports requested from management, mileage entries, GSAFleet.gov reports, etc.

    + Maintain all aspects of the Building A1 Room 4531 cleaning facilities for the NLV motor pool (coordinate transportation for pickup of vehicles for maintenance, keeping supplies available for cleaning of the vehicles, communicating with Teamster employees as to what vehicles are being used/available to clean for the day).

    + Maintain NLV and NNSS motor pool.

    + Off Site Vehicle Approval Administrator - job is to monitor the system and make sure that the system functions correctly for audit purposes and user concerns rectified.

    + Develop, distribute, schedule, and file reports, meeting minutes, records and work documents.

    + Act as Emergency Action Team (EAT) or Emergency representative in the event of Emergency drills and evacuations (as it pertains to the assigned area).

    + Interface with other MSTS groups to acquire services such as telephones, communications, and facilities support.

    + Prepare parking permits for Pahrump & Regional Transportation Center (RTC).

    + Coordinate with craft in the department regarding transportation and maintenance on motor pool vehicles.

    + Process and manage GSA Short Term Rentals.

    + Lead and partner with external entities and internal operating departments to identify and resolve escalated issues and/or promptly close gaps.

    + May provide guidance and training to support personnel, students, interns, contractors and other support personnel as required to complete assignments.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.

     

    + Bachelor’s degree in a business related field or equivalent training and experience.

    + Work under direct supervision, receiving close supervision on issues new to incumbent or on more complex assignments. Exercises discretion and judgment in performing work and assists with implementing improvements to existing processes.

    + Knowledge of vehicle maintenance requirements and standard manufacturer specifications.

    + Able to utilize independent judgment, creativity, initiative, and discretion to resolve problems and ensure that requirements are completed efficiently and on time.

    + Knowledge/experience of composing correspondence and technical reports in accordance with established procedures.

    + Possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with people inside and outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources in a tactful, professional, and effective manner while screening and maintaining confidentiality.

    + Able to use software applications needed in the position, MAXIMO, FleetCommander, and Microsoft Software Suite including, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel (e.g. pivot tables, formulas, etc.), and general office equipment.

    + Able to deal with pressure of handling multiple tasks, complaints, frequent interruptions, and time constraints.

    + Ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize.

    + The primary work location will be at the Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada).

    + Work schedule will be 4/10s Monday through Thursday (subject to change).

    + Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.

    + Must possess a valid driver’s license.

     

    Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ‘ _Identity, Credential, and Access Management_ ,’ and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ‘ _Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors_ .’

    Hourly salary range for this position is: **$25.50 - $38.25.**

     

    Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
