About the Role:
The District Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional associate and client experience to achieve balance sheet and revenue growth goals for multiple branch locations. In addition, the integration of digital products and solutions through the Retail delivery channel is essential in this role. The District Manager partners with the Regional Engagement Manager to develop and grow the skillset of all branch team members in their region through adoption of the Columbia Bank Way. The District Manager successfully collaborates with business partners to assist their team in proactively finding solutions for clients across multiple business lines. Development of marketing and business plans, forecasting and budgeting, as well as team member engagement for respective areas are significant objectives.
+ Lead and motivate a group of branches to attain or exceed branch loan, deposit and revenue goals.
+ Meet district production goals.
+ Create and foster a culture of Breakthrough Client Service Standards for the Region, including a commitment to delivering on being a community bank at scale and the leading business bank in the west.
+ Establish budgets and accurately forecast branch and region performance.
+ Collaborate with business partners throughout the organization for alignment, implementation and accomplishment of key initiatives, goals and projects. Reinforce focus on broad use of products and services based upon specific client needs.
+ Meet all partner referral goals to include partner referral points and income.
+ Responsible for the overall performance of the district loan and deposit portfolio to include leadership of proactive portfolio management activities
+ Responsible for increasing team member engagement as measured by engagement surveys and increased team member retention rates.
+ Responsible for proactively staffing and hiring quality candidates for branch locations.
+ Active participant in identifying and recommending contemporary and evolving banking products and services.
+ Coach and mentor branch managers and team members on career development and succession planning.
+ Perform joint calling with Branch Managers and Business Bankers and take part in community activities to support each branch’s engagement with their communities
+ Evaluate effectiveness of branches and make necessary adjustments to meet all legal, operational and team member needs.
+ Effectively set, communicate and monitor regional compliance with corporate policy and goals
+ Develop, manage, or lead Retail initiatives in specific areas as assigned.
+ Develop and maintain contingency planning for region.
+ Coordinate and manage expansion oracquisitionsof new banking facilities.
+ Foster and encourage community involvement throughout region
+ Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
+ Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
+ Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
+ May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

About** **You:
+ H.S. Diploma/GED. Required
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.Required
+ 8+ years of banking experience. Required
+ 5+years of banking Management experience. Required
+ 5+ years of consumer and business credit/lending experience. Required
+ Demonstrated ability to manage, coach, motivate and develop others. Experience with managing managers is preferred.
+ Knowledge of retail banking policies, procedures, practices and documentation, loans, commercial loans, treasury products, and other products and services in the financial industry.
+ Experience managing and achieving sales goals and budgets at multiple branches.
+ Extensive customer service skills both internally and externally, as well as problem solving skills.
+ Previous small business lending experience.
+ Demonstrated interpersonal skills (written, verbal and listening) required. Must have proven communication, public relations, and motivation skills.
+ Experience in identifying potential development and implementation of a marketing plan to gain new business and retain existing customers.
+ Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the bank.
+ Demonstrate strong community involvement (typically holds positions in community organizations).
+ This position requires you to act as a Bank MLO, which is defined as an individual authorized by the Bank to take mortgage loan applications, offer a mortgage, arrange a mortgage, assist a consumer in obtaining or applying to obtain a mortgage, negotiate a mortgage, otherwise obtain or make a mortgage for another person, represent to the public (through advertising or other means of communication) that such person can or will perform any of these activities, or refer a consumer to a loan originator (Note: Except those employees of the Bank who do not discuss particular credit terms available and do not refer the consumer, based on the employee’s assessment of the consumer’s financial characteristics to a particular Bank MLO) for compensation or gain. All MLOs will be required to register as an MLO complying with the SAFE Act requirements.
+ This position IS NOT authorized to act as a Bank Closed-End MLO, which is defined as any position designated to perform the activities of a Bank MLO for closed-end transactions, and therefore this position is limited to acting as a Bank MLO for open-end transactions (i.e., home equity lines of credit) only.
The pay range for this role is $81,000.00 - $130,000.00.
The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
