    Department - Customer Engagement Marketing Analytics

    Summary:

    + The Digital Products and Marketing Technology Team at Penn Medicine leads the strategy, development, and delivery of digital products, platforms and experiences that power marketing performance and patient engagement across the health system. This includes oversight of marketing technology, web and mobile experiences, CRM, and contact center solutions that drive personalized, connected journeys. The team also supports digital customer service channels, enabling timely, seamless assistance across web, chat, and other digital touchpoints.The Associate Director of Provider Data will lead a team of data coordinators responsible for maintaining a single, accurate source of truth for physician demographic records—critical to powering digital experiences and call center operations. They will oversee the integration of multiple data sources to support over 300,000 provider profiles, ensuring consistency, quality, and usability across websites, reporting, analytics, and downstream systems. Acting as the primary consultant to internal and external partners, the Associate Director will drive clarity and governance around provider data usage, while also managing vendor relationships and optimizing team workflows for efficiency. Their leadership will be key to enhancing data reliability, troubleshooting issues, and enabling seamless provider experiences across consumer-facing and operational touchpoints.

    Responsibilities:

    + Team Leadership and Development Supervision and Guidance: Supervise, motivate, and provide insight to data coordinators responsible for validating and updating physician demographic information, ensuring team productivity and quality standards are met. Training and Documentation: Develop and maintain training materials and documentation, establishing clear goals and objectives for the team while providing regular feedback and performance evaluations. Employee Development: Manage and develop a team of data coordinators by supervising daily work, onboarding and coaching at least four direct reports, and ensuring productivity, quality, and mastery in provider profile management, user account administration, and client support. Foster strong employee engagement and professional growth through continuous feedback, training, and a supportive, high-performance team culture.

    + Data Oversight and Integration Source of Truth Management: Oversee the integration of multiple data sets and ad hoc sources to maintain a single, accurate demographic record for over 300K providers. Consultation for Users: Serve as the lead consultant for internal and external clients, ensuring proper understanding and use of provider records. Vendor Relationship Management: Partner with your direct supervisor to manage vendor relationships, taking the lead as necessary to ensure effective collaboration.

    + System Enhancement and Audit Data Source Expansion: Maintain knowledge of new data sources within the health system, collaborating with the team to enhance provider records and plan for database improvements. Audit and Quality Assurance: Perform and oversee regular audits to ensure consistency and accuracy, managing all QA and testing activities related to the databases. Problem Resolution: Troubleshoot issues as they arise, working with partners to implement timely solutions.

    + Documentation and Industry Knowledge Documentation Management: Develop and maintain clear internal and external documentation pertaining to provider management, including data sources, data flows, and maintenance schedules. Industry Awareness: Stay abreast of healthcare, marketing, and technology trends to serve as a knowledgeable leader and resource for the organization. Technical Proficiency: Maintain proficiency in essential technology tools, including Salesforce, Databricks, SQL, and Excel, to effectively perform job responsibilities.

With a keen eye on the competitive healthcare landscape, harnesses proficiency in the latest technology tools to propose innovative methods for optimizing marketing technology platforms. Drawing inspiration from high-performing organizations, shapes the future by staying current on emerging marketing technologies and platforms.Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures.Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization.

    Education or Equivalent Experience:

    + Bachelor's degree. (Required)

    + 10 + years of experience working in a related field. (Required)

    + 3+ years of management experience. (Required)

    + Master's degree (Preferred)

    + Previous experience in a healthcare organization (Preferred)
