About the role
Walton Family Whole Health & Fitness, managed by HealthFitness, is looking for an **Arts & Craft Instructor** to join the team at their state-of-the-art facility in **Bentonville, Arkansas** (AR).
Responsible for planning, implementing, and delivering Arts & Crafts programs for youth and participants of all ages. In this role, you will develop and lead engaging, outcomes-based classes and activities in visual arts, performing arts (music, theatre, etc.), and crafts such as sewing and design with a focus on fostering creativity, participation, engagement, measurable outcomes, and overall customer satisfaction.
Key Accountabilities:
Program Development & Implementation
+ Design and deliver cultural arts programs that maximize community engagement and participation
+ Pursue and implement innovative approaches and best practices within all engagement programming.
+ Prepare, organize, and maintain all necessary materials and equipment to ensure successful program execution
Community Alignment and Instruction
+ Offer classes and programs that reflect and celebrate the culture, interests, and diversity of our Walmart associates and surrounding community.
+ Ensure all programming is age-appropriate, inclusive, and aligned with participant needs and interests
+ Adapt programs as needed to foster success and accessibility for all participants.
Communication and Collaboration
+ Maintains open communication with Hiring Manager and HealthFitness team to ensure smooth coordination of programs
+ Collaborates across departments as needed to efficiently maximize resources and delivery
•Professional Standards and Facility Management:
+ Ensures program details and support materials meet the needs for delivering programs to residents and are age appropriate.
+ Maintains appropriate clean environment of assigned program spaces conducive to maximum engagement outcomes.
Other duties as needed/assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
+ College studies in a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Experience in working in a community setting or related environment.
+ Experience in Performance and Creative arts instruction for all ages.
+ Adult & pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association or American Safety & Health Institute required prior to start date.
+ Strong leadership, team management, interpersonal and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.
+ Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands.
+ Computer proficiency in MS Office including at minimum Word, Excel, and Outlook is favored.
+ Excellent customer service skills.
+ Exhibits effective leadership and teamwork along with positive attitude.
Compensation: $25 - $30/hour. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.
