**Pay Rate:** $60–$80/hr (flexible up for highly qualified candidates)

Position Overview

Kelly Engineering is recruiting a senior-level Process Improvement Engineer to support a medical device manufacturing site in Athens, Texas. This role focuses on stabilizing and improving inefficient manufacturing processes while addressing quality and operational risk in an FDA-regulated environment.

This is a hands-on manufacturing role requiring floor-level process ownership and strong experience in medical device production.

Summary of Responsibilities

+ Redesign and improve inefficient manufacturing processes

+ Reduce scrap, rework, defects, and production risk

+ Lead hands-on Lean and continuous improvement initiatives

+ Address quality issues using root cause analysis

+ Collaborate closely with Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams

+ Support regulated process changes and tech transfer activities

Required Qualifications

+ 5–12 years of medical device manufacturing experience

+ Experience working in medical device industry in FDA-regulated environments (Class II / 510(k))

+ Background as a Manufacturing, Process, or Industrial Engineer

+ Hands-on experience fixing poorly designed or unstable processes

+ Strong understanding of quality risk and regulated manufacturing

Preferred Experience

+ Catheters, guidewires, introducer sets, biopsy instruments, or similar invasive disposable devices

+ Root cause analysis, CAPA, FMEA

+ Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement in production environments

Additional Notes

+ This site requires a senior engineer who can work independently and drive improvement without extensive training.

+ Direct hire may be considered for exceptional candidates.

+ Pay rate flexibility is available for candidates with strong, relevant experience.
