The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is currently looking for a Principal Software Engineer to work onsite in Andover, MA supporting Life Cycle Engineering (LCE). Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability, System Safety, and Supportability.
The Automated Logistics Control System (ALCS) is the flagship database application, consisting of multiple modules for supply support, asset management, work planning, administration, and system configuration management. ALCS has been a cornerstone application for over 40 years, and the team continues to innovate and expand its capabilities to meet the evolving needs of our programs and customers.
What You Will Do:
+ Utilize Microsoft Studios, Microsoft SQL Server, and REACT to support the development and modernization of the Automated Logistics Control System (ALCS) application, ensuring alignment with cutting-edge technologies and program needs.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ALCS with other Enterprise applications, ensuring seamless interoperability.
+ Stay current with ALCS libraries and adhere to RTX coding standards, security protocols, and best practices.
+ Support the deployment of new releases, typically scheduled quarterly or bi-yearly, ensuring smooth implementations and minimal disruption.
+ Primarily work 1st shift but remain flexible for occasional early/late calls to support ALCS release schedules.

Qualifications You Must Have:
+ Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
+ Experience with logistics control systems such as SAP, GCSS Army, ALCS, PRISM, APEX, and/or ELMS (formally DPAS).
+ The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
+ Proficiency in using Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) to document tasks, plan workflows, and operate within an Agile sprint environment.
+ Experience developing and managing Microsoft tech stacks and FOSS tools/databases.
+ Proven ability to mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their professional growth and technical skills.
+ Demonstrated experience in collaborating within a technical environment and providing innovative solutions to complex business challenges.
+ Self-starter with the ability to work independently and resolve novel or ambiguous issues with minimal guidance.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
