Posting Description
SENIOR TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER, Open Learning’s Engineering & Products, will accelerate MIT Learn, the Institute's unified platform for non-degree learning. This high-impact role reports to the CTO and is suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, blending project management discipline with product instincts. Key responsibilities include turning complex strategy into actionable roadmaps, driving urgent delivery across multiple teams (engineering, product, UX/design), proactively managing risks and dependencies, and pushing for clarity when requirements are ambiguous. The role involves facilitating trade-offs and delivering concise status updates, with a focus on introducing lightweight processes to improve efficiency. Recent initiatives include building AI learning tools like AskTim and launching Universal AI. Success is defined by enabling features to launch with focused scope and predictable delivery, helping teams operate with greater clarity and efficiency, and ensuring initiatives progress rather than stalling. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating ambiguity, focuses on meaningful outcomes, takes ownership, and can influence priorities.
