What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

+ Monitor for unusual activity and report any observations according to established protocols.

+ Assist law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when required, following all applicable procedures.

+ Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related concerns within the government facility.

+ Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly as directed by Allied Universal and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

+ At least one year of security-related experience is required.

+ An armed guard card or license is required.

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Baton certification is preferred.

+ Pepper spray certification is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
