    A well-established manufacturing company with more than 50 years of experience designs and produces DC-DC power converters for automotive, transportation, and industrial applications. In recent years, the company has expanded into emerging markets including drones, autonomous driving, and hybrid and electric vehicles, while continuing to support its legacy product lines.

     

    The organization is located in Northern California, approximately 50 miles north of San Jose and 30 miles east of San Francisco. The corporate facility is in Concord, offering access to more affordable housing and a reasonable commute—an uncommon advantage in the Bay Area.

    Position Overview

    This position is responsible for directing and organizing all shipping and material-handling functions to support production and customer delivery schedules. The Material Coordinator is expected to be proactive in identifying potential constraints and securing support in advance to meet critical timing, customer requirements, and volume demands.

    Summary

    The Material Coordinator manages plant materials and ensures the accuracy and integrity of inventory records within the ERP system. This role also includes tactical purchasing responsibilities related to KANBAN materials. The position reports to the local supervisor with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Purchasing Supervisor.

    Responsibilities

    + Control inventories of raw materials and finished goods to ensure alignment with production schedules, customer demand, and product development needs

    + Coordinate receiving, picking, and shipping of materials; collaborate with internal departments to determine work progress and completion dates

    + Monitor and report inventory levels, work progress, and issues impacting material flow

    + Maintain inventory accuracy through process control and cycle counting

    + Investigate, reconcile, and report inventory discrepancies as appropriate

    + Identify and liquidate obsolete or outdated inventory; take corrective action to resolve stock shortages

    + Maintain and update inventory records in the ERP system

    + Ensure quality and accuracy by verifying order quantities, recording and validating lot numbers, and obtaining secondary verification when required

    + Perform incoming and outgoing inspections as needed

    + Execute purchase requisitions for assigned production materials based on ERP/MRP requirements

    + Interact with internal teams and external suppliers to support timely completion of activities

    + Provide backup support for production planning and administrative support for the site, as required

    Education and Experience

    + High School Diploma preferred

    + 3–5 years of experience in supply chain, inventory management, or financial analysis

    + **Experience in the electronics or medical device industry preferred**

    + **Experience with international shipping and logistics preferred**

    **Pay Details:** $22.00 to $23.00 per hour
