Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Join a dynamic team in an industry-leading manufacturing facility that specializes in producing high-quality automotive hoses and parts. This full-cycle plant is committed to delivering exceptional products to top automotive brands worldwide.

Responsibilities

+ Perform paste extrusion by mixing Teflon powder with petroleum lube to create a preform billet.

+ Utilize monitors for equipment control and data entry; print and label products accurately.

+ Assist in billet extrusion by loading conveyors, operating machines, and ensuring accurate tube dimensions.

+ Conduct winding and braiding operations, setting wire tension, and performing periodic quality checks.

+ Engage in hose processing, including washing and cutting hoses, and maintaining equipment.

+ Operate machinery for twister, creating components for braiding and winding.

+ Perform melt extrusion, including processing large hoses and applying silicone jackets.

+ Execute post-sintering processes to strengthen tubing for aerospace and other industries.

+ Conduct pressure testing and wrapping of tubes for enhanced strength and form retention.

Essential Skills

+ At least 6 months of experience as a machine operator or in a manufacturing setting.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operation.

+ Ability to measure and perform basic math calculations accurately.

+ Stable work history with no more than three job changes within a year.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Mechanical and mathematical aptitude.

+ Openness to entry-level candidates with a desire to work in manufacturing and a solid work history.

Work Environment

Employees enjoy a relaxed dress code of jeans and t-shirts, transitioning to a company uniform upon permanent placement. The schedule includes various shifts: 1st shift from 6:00am-2:00pm, 2nd shift from 2:00pm-10:00pm (Monday-Friday), and 3rd shift from 10:00pm-6:00am (Sunday-Thursday).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Suffield, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.70 - $19.80/hr.
