    What you’ll achieve

    As a Data Science Consultant, you will be responsible for contributing to business strategy and influence decision making based on information gained from deep dive analysis. You will produce actionable and compelling recommendations by interpreting insights from complex data sets. You will design processes to consolidate and examine unstructured data to generate actionable insights. You will also collaborate with business leaders, engineers and industry experts to construct predictive models, algorithms and probability engines.

    You will:

    + Provide technical and strategic guidance to the team and executive stakeholders on complex AI/ML initiatives

    + Design, develop, and deploy scalable **Large Language Model (LLM)** and **Generative AI** systems in real-world, production-grade environments

    + Build robust, end-to-end AI pipelines, including data collection, preprocessing, model training, evaluation, deployment, and post-deployment monitoring

    + Apply traditional machine learning approaches to solve predictive modeling and classification problems across both structured and unstructured datasets

    + Collaborate closely with data engineers, MLOps specialists, and product managers to align AI solutions with business goals and continuously improve model performance, reliability, and user trust through experimentation, testing, and feedback-driven iteration

    Essential Requirements

    + Proven experience communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and influencing product direction.

    + Strong programming skills in **Python** , with hands-on experience using ML/AI frameworks such as **PyTorch** , **TensorFlow** , or similar.

    + Self-driven and proactive, with the ability to own and lead end-to-end projects independently.

    + Demonstrated ability to clearly explain statistical and algorithmic techniques at varying levels of technical depth.

    + Experience building and deploying **large-scale, production-ready machine learning systems and** developing **agentic AI** solutions, such as tool-using agents, autonomous task workflows, or reasoning-based systems.

    Desirable Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree with **8+ years** of industry experience, or Master’s degree with **6+ years** of experience in a data science or machine learning role or equivalent experience

    + Familiarity with building **GenAI applications that enhance developer productivity** , code generation, or documentation assistance, designing and optimizing **prompts and templates** for LLM-based applications, LLM **frameworks** such as **LangChain** , **LlamaIndex** , or similar open-source tools, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or autonomous agents powered by LLMs.

     

    Compensation

     

    Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $196,000 - $254,000.
