    Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description

     

    Join a leading provider in the precision stainless and specialty alloy tubing industry, serving diverse sectors including power generation, renewable energy, oil and gas, petrochemical, food and dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical, and general commercial markets. As a Machine Operator, you will be instrumental in running the Mill machine, bending metal into pipe form, and ensuring smooth operations.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate the Mill machine to bend metal into pipe form.

    + Change out metal rolls every 2-12 hours as needed.

    + Troubleshoot and perform minor mechanical repairs, quality checks, and adjustments on machines.

    + Understand basic electrical systems, including 3-phase, 480-volt systems, to identify when to call for major electrical repairs.

    + Perform minor welding tasks to connect metal, with training provided for tack welding.

    + Conduct basic preventative maintenance at the machine.

    Essential Skills

    + At least 2 years of experience in troubleshooting and running machinery.

    + Proficiency in using calipers and micrometers.

    + Experience with preventive maintenance.

    + Ability to use hand and power tools.

    + Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in machining, maintenance, mechanics, or fabrication.

    + 2 years of maintenance and welding/fabrication experience.

    + Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

    + Ability to think creatively and work independently.

    Work Environment

    Work in a safe and friendly non-union shop with roughly 100 employees across four shifts. Available shifts include A shift (Monday-Thursday, 5am-5pm), B shift (Monday-Thursday, 5pm-5am), C shift (Friday-Sunday, 5am-5pm), and D shift (Friday-Sunday, 5pm-5am). Training could last 3-6 months, with opportunities for shift premiums ($2 for B shift, $3 for D shift).

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Janesville, WI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
