Job Title: Vehicle Emissions Lab TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Emissions Lab Technician who will be responsible for safely preparing and conducting vehicle emissions tests on chassis dynamometers. The ideal candidate will perform daily testing in accordance with the test schedule and outlined safety processes, while also supporting the team in all testing, maintenance, and project work.

Responsibilities

+ Safely prepare and conduct vehicle emissions tests on chassis dynamometers.

+ Perform daily testing in accordance with the test schedule and outlined safety processes.

+ Work alongside the team to support all testing, maintenance, and project work.

+ Assist with hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues.

+ Learn to conduct routine calibrations, inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

+ Participate in emissions laboratory and facility improvement projects.

Essential Skills

+ 6+ years of experience working with mechanical and electrical fundamentals.

+ Understanding of vehicle safety and architecture; automotive experience is a plus.

+ Strong understanding of both electrical and mechanical components and safety.

+ Ability to apply creative and critical thinking to solve problems.

+ Knowledge and interest in automotive, dynamometers, and emissions analysis equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous automotive, facilities, electrical, repair, or diagnostic experience is a plus.

+ Computer proficiency and willingness to learn new software, tools, and systems.

+ Good team player with excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Work Environment

The role requires daily commuting to the job site in the Chino area, Monday through Friday, with core hours from 7 AM to 5 PM. Candidates should be flexible to work overtime on weekdays and weekends as needed. The position involves working in a dynamic environment, focusing on automotive maintenance and emissions analysis.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Irvine, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
