Overview:

We are currently hiring for a part time Health and Safety Trainer for a long term contract in Newport News, VA.

Description:

+ Revises work procedures and trainings.

+ Takes effective steps to ensure that workplace conditions comply with applicable federal and state occupational safety and health standard provisions of any labor agreement, ensuring that all required records are prepared and maintained.

+ Participates in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections and in any procedures that may follow a citation.

+ Investigates, prepares, and forwards as required reports on injuries and fatalities.

+ Conducts safe work procedures training courses.

Qualifications:

+ BS Degree

+ 5 years of relevant experience.

+ Prior Health and Safety developer experience.

+ Experience creating health and safety training programs and procedures.

+ Regulatory knowledge.

Additional Information:

+ Part time: 25-30 hours a week.

+ Pay Rate: $40-$50/hr.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
