Job Title: Machinist** **Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Machinist, where you will set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to machine large structural parts for various industrial sectors such as saw mills and paper mills. You will engage in multiple setups daily within a job shop environment, operating multiple machines simultaneously due to long cut times for larger parts.
Responsibilities
+ Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes.
+ Perform multiple setups on a daily basis.
+ Operate multiple machines simultaneously.
+ Assist in building tooling, touching off tooling, and proofing programs.
+ Make minor program edits such as changing feeds and speeds.
+ Operate overhead cranes to position and load parts for machining.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in CNC mill and lathe operations.
+ Ability to read blueprints.
+ Precision measuring skills.
+ Experience with CNC setup.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Minimum of 3 years' experience with setup and operation of CNC Mills or CNC Lathes.
+ Own set of basic machine shop tools.
+ Willingness to work on machines aligned with personal strengths.

Work Environment
Work in a heavy industrial environment where large parts are machined in a spacious shop. Currently, there are 5 team members in the machine shop, with plans to double this number soon. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed boots, safety glasses, gloves, and earplugs are required. Despite the space, the shop is bustling with work, ensuring a busy and fulfilling workday.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $83200.00/yr.
