Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Tulare, California. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities:
• Execute month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly recorded.
• Prepare and post journal entries to reflect financial transactions accurately.
• Reconcile accounts on a regular basis, including bank reconciliations and intercompany accounts.
• Analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial records to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth intercompany accounting processes.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to perform financial analyses and reporting.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and organizational policies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounting workflows. Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in senior roles.
• Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management.
• Strong knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Experience with bank reconciliations and intercompany accounting.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis.
• Familiarity with financial reporting standards and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
