Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Tampa, Florida. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to key accounting functions within the real estate development industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts payable processes and administrative tasks, particularly in construction or development environments.

Responsibilities:

• Process and enter accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently.

• Handle lien waivers and lien releases to ensure compliance with industry standards.

• Manage the coding and verification of invoices to maintain accurate financial records.

• Perform data entry tasks, including numeric and vendor invoice entries.

• Reconcile accounts to identify discrepancies and ensure proper adjustments.

• Collaborate with vendors to resolve billing issues and maintain positive relationships.

• Assist with administrative tasks related to contracts and documentation.

• Support billing functions to ensure timely processing and reporting.

• Maintain organized records of financial transactions and supporting documents.

• Uphold accounting practices and procedures to meet regulatory and company requirements. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and entry.

• Familiarity with lien waivers and releases, particularly in construction or development settings.

• Strong proficiency in numeric and vendor data entry.

• Solid understanding of billing functions and account reconciliation.

• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures.

• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Experience with accounting systems and software is preferred.
