Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Stuart, Florida. This role involves managing year-end financial activities, ensuring compliance, and supporting audit preparations for a private company with multiple business units. The position requires onsite work and offers a dynamic opportunity to utilize your expertise in accounting and software tools like QuickBooks.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct year-end financial closings, ensuring accuracy and compliance across multiple business units.

• Prepare and review account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial records.

• Manage audit documentation and liaise with auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.

• Perform general ledger maintenance, including journal entries and adjustments.

• Handle bank reconciliations to ensure proper cash flow management.

• Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software to streamline financial operations.

• Provide ad hoc support for various accounting projects as needed.

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve financial procedures.

• Ensure adherence to industry-specific accounting standards, particularly in aerospace and private aviation. Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.

• Proven expertise in month-end closings and general ledger management.

• Strong knowledge of account and bank reconciliations.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with other accounting software.

• Prior experience in the aerospace or private aviation industry is highly desirable.

• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.

• Ability to work onsite daily and adjust hours as needed during the contract term.

• Strong communication and organizational abilities to manage multiple business units effectively.
