Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in managing financial transactions and ensuring accuracy in payment processing. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with strong attention to detail and a solid background in accounts payable operations.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify invoices while ensuring proper account coding and compliance with company policies.

• Handle payment processing through methods such as ACH transfers and check runs.

• Conduct account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.

• Identify and resolve discrepancies in invoices and payments efficiently.

• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to address payment-related inquiries.

• Maintain accurate and organized records of all account's payable transactions.

• Prepare reports related to payment activities and financial reconciliations.

• Support month-end and year-end closing processes by providing necessary documentation.

• Monitor and improve accounts payable workflows to enhance efficiency.

• Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and company standards in all payment processes.

Requirements • Proven experience working in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

• Strong knowledge of account coding and invoice processing.

• Proficiency in handling automated clearing house (ACH) transactions and check runs.

• Familiarity with account reconciliation practices and techniques.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments.

• Competence in using accounting software and tools.

• Understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards.
